Space Considerations:
• Perceptions of Home consists of 12 display panels made of hardwood and corrugated metal, with levelers on the bottom.
• Each panel is 43” wide and 93” high at peak, and one 52”x’42”x36” wheeled kiosk.
• The exhibit is set-up as six two-panel displays, each in a V-formation with text and photos on four sides, creating a 43”x43”x43” triangle of floor space.
• A minimum of 30 x 30 space (900 square feet is needed,) with a minimum of 8 feet between each display pair; 10 feet preferred.
• The exhibit could be divided between multiple rooms that create this total space.
Set-up and Cost:
Because the bulk of the cost of hosting Perceptions of Home is shipping, the cost is dependent upon location, and on other services requested.
Greater Cincinnati
• The base cost is inclusive of transfer, assembly, disassembly, and removal of the display panels. (Note: I wonder if we want to set a base cost of $900, which is $250 over shipping, or leave this open-ended, so UACC can charge some groups less and others more.)
• Urban Appalachian Community Coalition contracts with a local shipping company for transfer, assembly, disassembly, and removal of the display panels within the Greater Cincinnati area.
• Host organizations direct the location of the display panels. See an example below.
• Host organizations affix photos and text boards to each display panel using Velcro, based on a numbering system located on both the panels and the boards.
• Set up of the photographs and text boards can be done by UACC at an additional fee. (Do we want to name a fee now?)
Outside Greater Cincinnati
• UACC will work with hosts to identify an appropriate shipping company.
• UACC will provide detailed guidance regarding all aspects of set-up.
• UACC may be able to provide onsite set-up assistance at an additional fee, dependent on time and distance involved.
